Natchitoches — McNeese Cowgirl Soccer (4-9-3, 3-3-1) dropped a 3-0 decision to Southland Conference leader Northwestern State (10-3-3, 5-1-1) on Thursday night at the Demon Soccer Complex.
The Demons struck first just before halftime, when Hosane Soukou connected with Marissa Henderson in the 43
rd minute to give Northwestern State a 1-0 lead heading into the break.
Soukou continued her impact in the second half, scoring in the 50
th minute to extend the Demons' lead to 2-0. Just two minutes later, she assisted Paige Baumgartner, who found the back of the net in the 52
nd minute to make it 3-0.
