LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball dropped its Southland Conference match in straight sets (25-10, 25-18, 25-20) to UTRGV, one of two teams tied atop the league standings Thursday night.
 
With the loss, McNeese falls to 6-15 overall and 2-7 in the SLC while UTRGV improves to 13-7 overall and 8-1 in the SLC.
 
Senior Kayla Wilson was the bright spot for the Cowgirls who ended the match with 10 kills marking her eighth straight match with double figure kills.
 
McNeese will remain home to host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 1 p.m. Saturday on senior day.  Seniors Gracjana Rozanska, D'Nari Mills, Jordan Gamble, Lauren Fuller and Kayla Wilson will be honored prior to the match.
