BEAUMONT, Texas—McNeese volleyball struggled on offense in its straight set 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-15) Southland Conference loss at Lamar Thursday night, dropping the Cowgirls to 6-17 overall and 2-9 in league play.  Lamar improved to 15-11 overall and 8-3 in the SLC with the win.
 
McNeese was its own enemy in the match, committing 23 hitting error to end the match with a .089 hitting percent while the defense came up with 47 digs. 
 
Lamar on the other hand ended the match with a .346 hitting percent, committing only nine hitting errors.
 
Jordan Gamble led the Cowgirls with nine kills and a .500 hitting percent.
 
McNeese will conclude its weekend by traveling to Stephen F. Austin on Saturday.  SFA enters the match tied for first place in the SLC with UTRGV.  Both teams enter Saturday's match 10-1 in the SLC. First serve is set for 12 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.
