STEPHENVILLE, Texas-- McNeese softball went 2-0 on day two of the Tarleton Texan Classic with two run-rule wins Friday to improve to 2-1 on the season.
The two wins mark 300 career wins for head coach
James Landreneau who now has a career record of 300-161 as the Cowgirls head coach.
McNeese began the day with a 14-3 (5 inning) win over Bucknell then ended the day with a 9-1 (5 inning win) over Marist.
The Cowgirls will play these same two teams Saturday, Marist at 10 a.m. and Bucknell at 12:15 p.m.
On the day, the Cowgirls scored 22 runs on 22 hits, with 21 RBI including seven doubles, one triple and one homerun.
Samantha Mundine led the Cowgirls at the plate going 4 for 5 with one double and scored four runs.

Rylie Bouvier, and
Nyjah Fontenot all ended the day with three hits apiece.
Alexis Dibbley (1-0) was credited with the win against Bucknell after tossing 4.0 innings and allowed four runs on four hits with one strikeout.
Freshman
Maddie Taylor (1-0) picked up her first collegiate win against Marist. Taylor allowed one run on four hits, struck out three and didn't allow a walk.
