LAKE CHARLES—McNeese beach volleyball completed an undefeated 4-0 weekend at its own Cowgirl Beach Bash Saturday following a 4-1 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor in the morning and a 3-2 win over New Orleans in the final match of the tournament.  Three of the five matches against UNO went three sets.

The wins lift the Cowgirls record to 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the Southland Conference.  McNeese will travel to Hammond on Wednesday, March 5 to take part in the Lion's Den Invitational.  The Cowgirls will face Southeastern at 1 p.m. and Spring Hill College at 3 p.m.

In the Mary Hardin-Baylor match, McNeese won the first three matches with wins by duals two (Rylee Lansing/Kendall Osgood), four (Bethanie Durant/Harlee Tupper), and five (Jolie Savoie/Luciana Chuong) to clinch the match. Dual three (Jackie McGee/McKenzie Moore) picked up the fourth point of the match for the Cowgirls.

The New Orleans match was basically back and forth in all five matches.  UNO took a 1-0 lead with a win at pair four in one of the three matches that went three sets.  Kendall Osgood and Rylee Lansing picked up a three-set win at dual two to even the match.  A comeback win from Jolie Savoie and Luciana Chuong at dual five put the Cowgirls up 2-1 before McKenzie Moore and Jackie McGee won their dual three match in straight sets to clinch the overall match.
