NACOGDOCHES, Texas- McNeese women's beach volleyball, for the second day split its matches at the SFA Ax'Em Invitational, falling 3-2 to Texas A&M-Kingsville in the first match of the day before ending tournament play with a 3-2 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor.
 
In the win over Mary Hardin-Baylor, McNeese (8-6, 1-1 SLC) MHB won the No. 5 dual, but the Cowgirls No. 4 dual (Bethany Durant/Jolie Savoie) evened the match at one apiece.  MHB's No. 1 dual gave the Cru a 2-1 lead before a Cowgirl win a No. 3 dual (Jackie McGee/Harlee Tupper) evened the match once again, making the match come down to the No. 2 dual.  The Cowgirls team of Kendall Osgood and Rylee Lansing won their match in straight sets (21-15, 21-17) to clinch the match.
 
With today's two wins, Osgood and Lansing improve to 10-3 on the year.
 
Next up for the Cowgirls will be the Southland Conference Midseason Tournament (March 21-23) in Thibodaux and hosted by Nicholls.
