THIBODAUX—McNeese beach volleyball went 2-0 Friday at the one-day Nicholls Bayou Battle with wins over Spring Hill College and Mobile to even their record to 11-11 on the season.

McNeese began tournament play with a 4-1 win over Spring Hill College, a team the Cowgirls lost 4-1 two weeks ago at the Southeastern Lion's Den Invitational.

The Cowgirls ended their day with a competitive 3-2 win over Mobile. The No. 2 pair (Kendall Osgood/Rylee Lansing) improve to 14-7 and the No. 3 pair (Jackie McGee/McKenzie Moore) improve to 11-6 on the season with two wins today.   

McNeese will host UL-Monroe next Friday, April 4 in a 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. doubleheader on Senior Day.
