Beach Volleyball prepares for NOLA Classic

LAKE CHARLES – McNeese beach volleyball (11-13, 2-6 SLC) will conclude its regular season this weekend with five dual matches at the NOLA Classic, starting Friday, April 18 at 8:30 a.m. against Tarleton State (5-11) in the first of three matches on the day for the Cowgirls.
 
Shortly after challenging the Texans, the Cowgirls will face San Jose State (10-16) in a non-conference match at 11 a.m.  The teams met at the Southland Midseason Tournament last month. the final match of the day will be at 1:30 p.m. against No. 18 Florida Atlantic (14-13). The dual between the Cowgirls and Owls will be the first in program history. 
 
On Saturday, the classic will begin with McNeese taking on tournament host Tulane (21-9) at 8:30 a.m. before a non-conference match against Southeastern (10-16, 3-5 SLC) at 11 a.m.
 
McNeese and Tulane are the lone two schools that take on all five opponents on the weekend. The tournament is the sixth of the season for the Cowgirls.
 
McNeese's No. 3 pair, seniors Jackie McGee and McKenzie Moore own a seven-match winning streak and sit at 13-6 on the season. Against opponents in the field, they have only faced Southeastern, going 1-1 against the Lions.

Rylee Lansing and Kendall Osgood have compiled a 14-9 record as the Cowgirls No. 2 pair and are 6-4 overall in their last 10 matches.
