NACOGDOCHES, Texas—McNeese softball made Southland Conference history Saturday by becoming the first program to win four straight Southland Conference regular season titles following its doubleheader (6-1, 4-3) win at Stephen F. Austin. The teams play a single game at 12 p.m. Sunday.
McNeese improves to 36-18 overall and 22-4 in the SLC with the wins. Stephen F. Austin falls to 26-26 overall and 14-12 in the SLC.
The Cowgirls will be the No. 1 seed in next week's bracket play pod that will host the No. 4, 5, and 8 seeds. Tournament seeding will be released sometime following Sunday's games.
