LAKE CHARLES—McNeese head women's tennis coach Sonia Carlson has announced the addition of former Tarleton State standout Noelia Lorca as assistant coach for the 2025-256 season.
"I'm beyond excited to welcome Noelia, my former player, as our new assistant coach," said Carlson. "Having coached her and watched her grow, I know the passion and drive she brings to the game. She's going to make a great impact not only on our team, but also in our community. It means so much to have her join me in Lake Charles, and I can't wait to see everything we build together for Cowgirl Tennis!"
The native of Murcia, Spain spent the last two seasons (2024, 2025) of her career at Tarleton State where she posted a 26-7 singles record and a 26-9 doubles record.
While at Tarleton State, Lorca won the 2024 WAC Fall Tennis Invitational singles title and was named to the All-WAC team both seasons with the Texas.
She began her collegiate career at Lamar where she played for the Cardinals in 2021 and 2022 and posted an 18-17 singles record and a 14-17 doubles record while earning All-Southland Conference first team doubles honors as a sophomore.
