FRISCO, Texas – McNeese will host five Southland Conference baseball series in 2026, including a visit from the defending regular season co-champions Southeastern Louisiana and UTRGV, as well as hosting tournament champion HCU as the Southland Conference announced the league baseball schedule on Thursday.

McNeese finished 19-11 in a very competitive league last season, tying for fourth place while finishing just three games out of the top spot.
UTRGV and Southeastern tied for the regular-season conference championship with identical 22-8 league marks while HCU, who finished seventh with a 17-13 record, defeated New Orleans in the tournament championship series to advance to only its second NCAA Tournament in school history.
The Cowboys will open their home conference slate against Houston Christian (March 6-8) before taking on Southeastern (March 20-22), Incarnate Word (April 10-12), UTRGV (April 24-26), and Northwestern State (May 7-9). They will travel to Nicholls, Lamar, New Orleans, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, and Stephen F. Austin.
The conference tournament bracket play will take place May 14-17 as the No. 1 seed, and the No.2 seed will each host four teams. The championship series will take place May 21-23 at the site of the highest remaining seed following the bracket play. The championship series will be formatted as best 2 out of 3 games to crown the champion.
Cowboy baseball's non-conference schedule will be released at a later date.
