Lake Charles – McNeese senior pitcher,
Eric Nachtsheim, has been named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-South Region second team, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced on Tuesday.
This past season, the Southland Conference Relief Pitcher of the Year and first team All-Southland Conference selection posted a 8-4 record with three saves, along with posting a 3.39 ERA.
In addition, the senior from Reno, Nevada struck out a Cowboy baseball single season record of 129 batters in 93.0 innings pitched and walked just 21. He led the pitching staff in strikeouts, while also tossing one complete game while ranking eighth in the nation and first in the conference in total strikeouts.

The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.
