LAKE CHARLES - The youthful McNeese men's and women's cross country squads will being the 2025 season on Friday evening when hosting the annual McNeese Season Opener.
The Cowgirls will be led by seniors
Jeny Barcenas and
Danielle Salinas while joining the duo will be six freshmen, three sophomores and a junior. On the men's side, last year's team MVP, sophomore
Ryan McCarthy will return to a unit that has just three seniors -
Abdallah Elkhair,
Obeid Mohamed and
Colby Trahan. The roster includes three freshmen, four other sophomores, and two juniors.
Time: Women 3k at 5:30 p.m. Men 5k at 6:00 p.m.
Place: Enos Derbonne Sports Complex in Lake Charles
Teams Competing: McNeese, Northwestern State, Southern
