XC concludes season with run at NCAA South Central Regionals

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The McNeese men and women's cross country programs concluded their seasons at the NCAA South Central Regionals hosted by Texas A&M Friday morning.
 
Junior Jeny Barcenas finished in 68th to lead the Cowgirls with a mark of 21:14.7. The team finished 26th in team standings with Arkansas and Texas finishing in the top two spots to advance to the NCAA Championships.
 
Ryan McCarthy, a freshman, ran a mark of 32:36.8 to finish 112th and be the top finisher for the Cowboys. Arkansas swept the top three spots with runners from Texas and Tulane rounding out the top five.

The men finished 22nd in the team standings with the NCAA Championship team bids going to Arkansas and Tulane.
