FRISCO, Texas--  The Southland Conference released its 22-game women's basketball schedule Tuesday with teams playing each other home and home.  The 11 home and away games marks the largest number of contests in Southland Conference women's basketball history.
 
"We are excited about the 22-game conference schedule," said head coach Ayla Guzzardo.  "We will get a chance to see every team twice.  Our conference has continuously gotten stronger and this year there will be a lot of new faces within the conference, so we're excited for the matchups."
 
The Cowgirls will open their conference schedule at home against East Texas A&M on Dec. 12 and Northwestern State on Dec. 15.
 
Following the Christmas break the Cowgirls will travel to Incarnate Word on Dec. 29 for its first conference road game followed by a game at Houston Christian on Dec. 31.
 
McNeese will begin the New Year with three consecutive home games beginning with Lamar (Jan. 3), Nicholls (Jan. 8), and Southeastern (Jan. 10).  Other conference home games include New Orleans (Jan. 24), Houston Christian (Feb. 5), Incarnate Word (Feb. 7), UTRGV (Feb. 19), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 21), and Stephen F. Austin (Mar. 2).
 
The Southland Conference Women's Tournament is scheduled for March 9-12 in Lake Charles.
 
McNeese will begin its 2025-26 season in a home game against Pensacola Christian College on Nov. 3.
