Lake Charles, La. — McNeese Soccer (1-7-3, 0-1-1) mounted a dramatic late comeback to earn a 2-2 draw against East Texas A&M (3-5-2, 0-0-2) in a physical showdown Thursday night at Cowgirl Field.

Bell for the opening goal. Just three minutes later, Mitchell doubled the lead herself, converting a setup from Alana
Lawless-Felarca to make it 2-0 heading into halftime.
The intensity never died down over the 90 minutes, as the match remained physical from start to finish. A total of seven cards were issued and 17 fouls committed in a back-and-forth contest that tested both sides' composure.
McNeese refused to back down. In the 88th minute, freshman
Ava Dubois stepped up and buried a penalty kick, her first career goal, to give the Cowgirls a late spark. Just one minute later,
Riley Hicock connected with
Alexi Pitt, who slotted home the equalizer in the 89th minute to complete the dramatic comeback.
