LAKE CHARLES – McNeese's men's and women's cross country teams each placed second at Saturday's House of Sole Cowboy Stampede, the Cowgirls placing three individuals in the top 10 in the 5k race while the Cowboys also placing 10 in the 4-mile race.
HCU won the men's title with 38 points, edging out the Cowboys who finished with 40. ULL placed third with 49 points followed by Northwestern State 117 and Louisiana Tech at 126.
ULL won the women's team title with 23 points followed by McNeese with 46, HCU 67, Louisiana Tech 108, and Northwestern State 144.
