LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball opened its own Cowgirl Classic Thursday night with a straight set 3-0 (25-9, 25-20, 25-19) win over Alcorn on the first day of the three-day tournament. 
 
McNeese to improves to 3-1 on the season while the Lady Braves fall to 0-3.
 
The Cowgirls will face UT-Arlington at 6 p.m. Friday in the second match of the day.  Alcorn will face UL-Monroe at 1 p.m.
 
The tournament will conclude Saturday with UT-Arlington taking on Alcorn at 10:30 a.m. and the Cowgirls will face UL-Monroe at 1 p.m.  UT-Arlington defeated UL-Monroe in four sets in the tournaments opening match.
 
Admission is free for all tournament matches as well as all Cowgirl home matches.

• Mills ended the match with a double double (10 kills, 10 digs).  She has recorded double figure kills in all four matches this season.
• Kinga Ziolkowska led the Cowgirls with 22 assists
• Corynne Hausler also dished out double figure assists with 14, a season high for her
