KINGSVILLE, Texas – McNeese women's beach volleyball (3-1) went undefeated on day two of the Javelina Beach Classic picking up wins over UTEP and UL-Monroe.
In match one of the day against UTEP (2-2), the pair of
Bethanie Durant and Reese Russel clinched the match point for the Cowgirls for the 3-2 win. That win will go down as the first win over UTEP in program history.
In the second match of the day against UL-Monroe (1-3) the duo of
Kendall Osgood and
McKenzie Moore clinched the match point for the Cowgirls for the 4-1 win over the Warhawks. The win over UL-Monroe will also go down as the first win over UL-Monroe in program history.
The Sandy Pokes will return to action next weekend as they host the Cowgirl Beach Classic at South Beach February 27 - 28 where they will take on Texas A&M-Kingsville, Sam Houston, Mary Hardin-Baylor, and New Orleans.
