LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's tennis poste a 3-1 record during its Texas road swing that ended with a 4-0 win over Abilene Christian on Monday to improve to 6-1 overall.
McNeese began its four match Texas swing with at 6-0 win over Oral Roberts and a 6-1 win over Collin College on Saturday in matches that were played in Stephenville, Texas. The Cowgirls dropped their only match of the week, a 4-1 loss to Tarleton State on Sunday.
McNeese rebounded from its loss to Tarleton State with a 4-0 win over Abilene Christian on Monday.
Ana Hollweg posted a 7-1 combined record including a perfect 4-0 doubles record with wins and a 3-1 singles record. Hollweg's win against Abilene Christian on court 4 clinched the match for the Cowgirls.
Salome Fluri posted a combined 5-1 record including a 2-0 singles record that extended her continuous singles winning streak to 24 matches. The 24 continuous singles match winning streak ties the record held by Klaudia Gawlik who held the record from Jan. 18, 2013, to Feb. 9, 2014. Fluri's streak began exactly one year from today (Feb. 9, 2025).
Elena Morales and
Naomi Hagi both posted a 5-2 combined records,
Erica Hagi and
Stella Rundova ended the Texas swing with 3-1 combined records while Alexas Martinez posted a combined 3-2 record.
McNeese will travel to Tyler, Texas on Sunday, Feb. 15 to face UT-Tyler at 10 a.m. and Tyler Junior College at 2 p.m.
