WBB: Cowgirls Host SFA In Regular Season Finale Monday Nigth

LAKE CHARLES—  McNeese women's basketball will host Stephen F. Austin Monday night in its regular season finale.  Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Townsley Law Arena.  The game will stream on ESPN+.

McNeese (26-4, 20-1 SLC) has already clinched the regular season title and will be the No. 1 seed in the Air Force Reserve Southland Conference Basketball Championships (March 9-12) in Lake Charles.

The Cowgirls are coming off a 73-49 road win at New Orleans on Saturday to tie the most wins in program history and extended its nation's fourth longest winning streak at 19 games.  The win also gave McNeese 20 conference wins, the first program in Southland history to win 20 SLC games.

McNeese will look to pick up its second win over the Ladyjacks (22-8, 16-5) this season who are tied with Lamar for second place in the standings.  McNeese defeated SFA 70-64 in overtime on Jan. 29 in Nacogdoches.  The Ladyjacks have won their last eight games and are coming off a 71-47 road win at HCU on Saturday.

Monday's postgame activities will consist of the Cowgirls being presented the SLC regular season championship trophy followed by net cutting.
