NEW ORLEANS – McNeese Cowgirls beach volleyball (11–2, 1-1) is still off to the best start in program history after beginning day one at the Bayou Beach Duals with a 5-0 victory over Nicholls to pick up its first Southland Conference win on the season. The Cowgirls capped off Day 1 with a 5-0 sweep over Central Arkansas.
In both matches on the day, the pair of
McKenna Malone and
Isabella Giarla were the clinching point to capture the win for the Sandy Pokes.
The Sandy Pokes will wrap up the weekend at the Bayou Beach Duals on Saturday facing host, Tulane in an 8:30 a.m. match and will finish the day at 1:30 p.m. against UTEP.
