NEW ORLEANS—McNeese women's tennis capped off an undefeated three-match week with a 5-2 Southland Conference road win at New Orleans Monday to improve to 17-1 overall and remained undefeated in the SLC at 6-0. 
 
The three wins extended the Cowgirls winning streak to 12 matches which ties the second longest winning streak in program history. The 2025 team also had a 12-match winning streak.

"I'm very proud of the way our team competed this weekend," said head coach Sonia Carlson. "Our fight and confidence continues to grow with every match, and it was great to see our bottom lineup step up and deliver in key moments. Being undefeated in conference play is a reflection of this group's work ethic, resilience, and belief in each other. We're building strong momentum, and the focus now is to keep improving and raising our level every time we step on court."
 
McNeese began its week with a 5-2 win at Nicholls on Saturday then picked up a 5-0 non-conference win over Dillard on Sunday.
 
Ana Hollweg led the Cowgirls on the week, ending her week with a combined 6-0 record picking up three wins in singles and three in doubles.  The three singles wins extends Hollweg's winning streak to 12 matches.

McNeese will close out the regular season with four straight home matches beginning with a 2 p.m. Southland Conference match against Southeastern this Saturday, April 4.  The Cowgirls will also host UL-Lafayette April 7 (2 p.m.), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi April 11 (11 a.m.) and UTRGV April 13 (11 a.m.) to close out the regular season.
