LAKE CHARLES- McNeese women's tennis extended its winning streak to 13 matches, improving to 18-1 overall and remained undefeated at 7-0 with its 5-2 win over Southeastern Friday.

McNeese opened the match by winning all three doubles to take a 1-0 lead.  The Cowgirls went on the win four straight singles matches to clinch the match.  Elena Morales def. Adriana Tirado 6-0, 6-3 on court 6 for a 2-0 lead and Stella Rundova def. Aitana Darder 6-2, 6-1 on court 3 for a 3-0 lead.  Salome Fluri def. Panatchakorn Suanarsa (SLU) 6-3, 6-1 on court 1 to clinch the overall match.  The final McNeese point came on court 5 where Erica Hagi def. Paige Duncan 6-4, 6-3.

McNeese will remain home to host UL-Lafayette on Tuesday, April 7 in a non-conference match beginning at 2 p.m.

The Cowgirls will close out the regular season next weekend with conference matches against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday, April 11 and UTRGV on Monday, April 13.  Both matches are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
