NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The McNeese Cowgirls beach volleyball team continued its historic season on Friday, posting a 2-0 record at the Sandy Boot Scoot to improve to 18-5 overall and 4-2 in Southland Conference play.

McNeese opened the day with a weather-shortened 3-0 victory over Sam Houston, as the dual was played to the clinching point. The Sandy Pokes secured wins from the No. 4, No. 2, and No. 5 pairs, all in straight sets.

The Cowgirls carried that momentum into their second match, delivering a dominant 5-0 sweep of Stephen F. Austin. All five pairs won in straight sets as McNeese closed out the day in commanding fashion.

McNeese returns to action on Tuesday, April 14, when it hosts the McNeese Beach Classic.
