RUSTON – McNeese Cowgirl soccer (4-3-0) picked up a big 2-0 road victory over in-state opponent Louisiana Tech (2-3-1) Thursday night to open its four-game road swing, matching its win total from the 2025 season.
McNeese opened the scoring in the 38th minute when
Caitlyn Trosclair headed in a corner kick from
Morgan Fiedler to give the Cowgirls a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. The goal marked the first of Trosclair's collegiate career.
The Cowgirls converted on another corner kick in the 64th minute.
Isabella Baltov sent the ball into the box, where
Vitoria Mitre headed it into the net to extend McNeese's lead to 2-0. The assist marked the first of Baltov's collegiate career.
