LAKE CHARLES-- McNeese women's basketball team will look to bounce back from a road loss to Tulane on Sunday that snapped their five game winning streak and will look to remain undefeated at home this season when the Cowgirls host Loyola (La.) at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Burton Coliseum. Fans are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy for the McNeese Athletics Toys for Tots drive. Also, Santa will be on hand for pictures.
McNeese (5-2) is coming off a 74-55 loss at Tulane that saw the Cowgirls having a cold shooting night. After trailing 39-22 at the half, McNeese got as close at 12 points twice in the fourth quarter before Tulane went on another run to come away with the win.
Allison Baggett scored in double figures for the sixth straight game, leading the Cowgirls with 17 points on the night. Baggett is the only Cowgirl averaging in double figures with 14.7 ppg. Baggett also leads McNeese with a 44.0 three-point field goal percent and a 92.3 free throw percent. Other Cowgirl statistical leaders for the Cowgirls are

Mercedes Rogers is shooting 65.5 percent from the field while
Jayln Johnson is dishing out 4.4 assists per game and has 2.3 steals per contest.
Loyola (6-2) also had their five game winning streak snapped with a 71-69 loss against Dillard last Saturday. The Wolf Pack, a NAIA school has advanced to two NAIA National Tournaments in the last three years, advancing to the quarterfinals in 2014.
The Wolf Pack is led in scoring by Briana Oglesby's 15.4 ppg. while Adrianne Sloboh has a team best 7.4 rpg.
