LAKE CHARLES—McNeese softball will travel to No. 9 Louisiana-Lafayette for a midweek game Wednesday. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.

It will be the 125
th all-time meeting with the Cajuns holding a 100-24 lead. ULL has won the last 10 meeting including a 5-3 win in Lake Charles last year.
McNeese (12-17) will look to bounce back from a Southland Conference series road loss at Stephen F. Austin last weekend.
Senior outfielder
Justyce McClain continues to lead the Cowgirls at the plate with a .376 average, 35 hits, 18 runs along with 12 stolen bases.
Cori McCrary is batting .329 and leads McNeese with 15 RBI and 14 stolen bases. She also has 28 hits and has scored 13 runs.
In the circle, freshman
Saleen Flores (0-1) has a 1.15 ERA in 13 appearances and 33.2 innings while
Amber Coons (3-2) has a 1.26 ERA in 44.1 innings and is second on the team with 31 strikeouts.
ULL (23-3) have won their last eight games including a 4-1 win over Baylor and most recently an 8-0 win over Nicholls last week. The Cajuns losses have come against North Texas and Baylor in late February at the Baylor Invitational and a run rule loss at Oklahoma earlier this month.
Julie Rawls and Bailey Curry lead the Cajuns at the plate with a .475 and .424 batting average, respectively. As a team, the Cajuns have 35 homeruns on the year so far and are led by Rawls with eight.
In the circle, Summer Ellyson (17-3) has done the bulk of the pitching. Ellyson enters the game with a 1.14 ERA with 126 strikeouts in 111 innings.
