LAKE CHARLES—McNeese softball will conclude its swing through the state of Oklahoma Tuesday with a 3 p.m. game at No. 4 Oklahoma. The game, originally scheduled for 6 p.m., has been moved to a 3 p.m. start to accommodate cold temperatures. The game will be streamed through SoonerSports.tv.
 
The Cowgirls (8-12) have been in Oklahoma since last week where they took part in the Oklahoma State/Tulsa Invitational Friday and Saturday where they posted a 1-3 record with its win coming against Northern Iowa. The Cowgirls dropped one game to Seattle and two games to No. 21 Oklahoma State.
 
Justyce McClain continues to lead the Cowgirls at the plate with a .422 average with 27 hits, 15 runs, eight walks and nine stolen bases.
 
Cori McCrary tops the team with 14 RBI and is second on the team with 18 hits along with a .305 batting average.
 
Amber Coons (2-0) leads the pitching staff with a 0.86 ERA, is second on the team with 23 strikeouts in 32.2 innings. Alexsandra Flores (4-5) leads the Cowgirls with 26 strikeouts.
 
The Sooners (15-2) opened their home schedule with a pair of ranked wins at its own Courtyard Marriott Tournament, taking down No. 25/23 Oregon State 3-0 and No. 11/11 Louisiana 9-1 in five innings. The second half of the tournament was canceled due to inclement weather on Saturday and Sunday.

OU enters the game on a 36-game home winning streak, the second best in program history.

The Sooners are led at the plate by Shay Knighten's .471 average. Sydney Romero is batting .429 and leads the Sooners with 24 hits, six home runs, and 17 RBI.

In the circle, Mariah Lopez is 7-1 on the year with a .088 ERA, 61 strikeouts in 39.2 innings. Shannon Salle is 2-1 with a 2.06 ERA, 38 strikeouts in 21.1 innings and Giselle Juarez is 6-0 with a 2.06 ERA, 50 strikeouts in 37.1 innings.

The Sooners lead the all-time series, 11-2 including a 5-1 mark in Norman. OU last faced McNeese on March 15, 2015 in Baton Rouge, claiming a 3-0 victory.
