LAKE CHARLES—McNeese softball will begin a seven-game home stand beginning with a Southland Conference series against Central Arkansas this weekend. The series will begin with a 5 p.m. doubleheader Friday and will end with a single game at noon Saturday. All three games will be streamed and will have live stats. McNeese (20-22, 11-4 SLC) enters the series tied for second place in the conference standings with Sam Houston State. Nicholls is atop the standings with a 12-3 conference record.

Cori McCrary lead the Cowgirls at the plate as both are batting over .300. McClain leads the team with a .388 average and McCrary has a .341 average. McClain also has a team high 52 hits, 27 runs and is second with 19 stolen bases.
McCrary leads the team with 21 RBI, three home runs, 25 stolen bases and is second with 44 hits, 21 runs and eight doubles.
Demi Boudreaux has a team high 11 doubles and is second with 15 RBI and two home runs. Boudreaux is fourth on the team with a .230 batting average while
Aubree Turbeville is third with a .236. Turbeville has 14 RBI on the season and 21 hits.

UCA (21-20, 7-8 SLC) has five players batting over .300 with Libby Morris leading the team with a .371 average. Cylla Hill and Kayla Crutchmer are both batting .367, Kaylyn Shepherd has a .365 average and Erin Blackburn is batting .322.
Morris leads the Bears with nine homeruns, 40 RBI and is tied for a team high 20 walks. Hill leads the team with 47 hits and 12 doubles.
