LAKE CHARLES—McNeese softball will make a brief return to Joe Miller Field Wednesday night to host the 10
th Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
The matchup will be the second of the season between the two teams with McNeese taking the first game 5-4 in 11 innings in Lafayette on March 20. The game will be streamed live on mcneesesports.com
McNeese (17-20) is coming off a series win at Houston Baptist last weekend where the Cowgirls took two of three games and head coach
James Landreneau picked up his 100
th career win in the 1-0 win in the nightcap on Friday.

Cori McCrary continue to be the leaders at the plate for the Cowgirls. McClain leads the team with a .381 average and McCrary is batting .330. McClain also leads the Cowgirls with 45 hits, 24 runs and is second on the team with 16 stolen bases.
McCrary leads the Cowgirls with 19 RBI and 22 stolen bases and is tied for a team high 15 walks. She is second with 37 hits and 19 runs scored.
In the circle, the Cowgirls continue to use five pitchers. Freshman
Saleen Flores (2-3) who picked up a one-hit shutout against HBU over the weekend heads the staff with a 1.24 ERA. Sophomore
Amber Coons (3-3) has a 1.76 ERA, sophomore
Caroline Settle (5-6) has a 3.05 ERA and leads the staff with 40 strikeouts. Junior
Alexsandra Flores (7-8) has a 3.71 ERA and leads the staff with 79.1 innings. Sophomore
Ashley Koncir (0-0) has a 5.07 ERA in only nine appearances after returning from an injury. As a staff, McNeese has a 2.64 ERA
UL-Lafayette (29-4) has won its last six games which includes Sun Belt series sweeps over South Alabama and Georgia Southern. The high potent Cajun offense has outscored their opponents 47-13 including two run-rule wins during the recent winning streak.
The Cajuns have 10 players batting over .300 with Julie Rawls leading the way with a .440 batting average. Rawls also leads the team with nine homeruns, 34 RBI and 22 walks. She is second on the team with 33 hits and third with 31 runs scored.
Summer Elyson (20-4) leads the pitching staff with a 1.31 ERA, 171 strikeouts and 144.1 innings pitched. Kandra Lamb (3-0) has a 1.95 ERA with 31 strikeouts in 28.2 innings and Carrie Boswell (6-0) has a 2.41 ERA with 12 strikeouts in 32 innings.
