LAKE CHARLES – The McNeese Cowboys will play a mid-week home game against the No. 18 team in the country, Louisiana Tech, on Wednesday at Joe Miller Ballpark before venturing out on a four-game road trip. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
This will be the second game of a home-and-home series with Louisiana Tech as the Bulldogs took the first game in Ruston, 10-4, back on April 3.
The Cowboys (20-20, 7-11 SLC) will look to bounce back from a tough 1-3 week last week, losing to conference opponent Southeastern Louisiana at home 12-3 in non-league action before dropping two of three at Northwestern State over the weekend.
The Bulldogs (27-12, 12-6 C-USA) enter Wednesday's game winning three of their last four games, beating UL-Monroe in a mid-week matchup, 5-0, and then defeating conference opponent Marshall two-games-to-one in a weekend C-USA three-game series.
Junior right-handed pitcher
Brad Kincaid (1-1) will be on the bump for Wednesday's game for the Cowboys. His last outing came in relief against Southeastern Louisiana where he surrendered four runs on one hit in 0.1 innings of work. This will be Kincaid's third start of the season and has compiled a 5.40 ERA, 26 strikeouts, and 23.1 innings pitched in 15 appearances on the year.
