LAKE CHARLES-  McNeese women's basketball returns home Saturday to host Central Arkansas in its Southland Conference home opener and the first of the next three home games for the Cowgirls. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. at the H&HP Complex.
 
Both teams will be wearing yellow shoe laces for LaceUp4Cancer to show their support for pediatric cancer.
 
McNeese (3-8, 0-2 SLC) will look to bounce back from a 92-59 SLC road loss at Sam Houston State on Thursday.
 
Seniors Regan Bolton and Damilola Balogun continue to lead the Cowgirls in scoring and rebounding. Bolton will enter the game averaging 10.0 ppg. and Balogun is averaging 7.9 rpg.
 
UCA (6-6, 2-1 SLC) was picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll by the coach. The Sugar Bears come into the contest with an 18-8 series lead and have won the last seven meetings.
 
UCA is coming off a 63-39 home win over Houston Baptist on Wednesday.
