McNeese Set to Host McNeese Indoor II

LAKE CHARLES – The McNeese track and field program will continue its indoor season on Friday when it hosts the McNeese Indoor II College meet at the Ralph O. Ward Recreation Complex. A high school meet on Saturday will complete the two-day event.
 
The meet will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday with the women's weight throw and men's shot put. Running events will kick-off at 4:30 p.m. with the men and women's 55-meter hurdles and 55-meter dash preliminaries.
 
Joining McNeese on Friday will be: Arkansas Baptist, LeTourneau, Loyola-New Orleans, New Orleans, Nicholls, Southeastern La., Talladega College, UL-Lafayette, Wiley, and Alumni from McNeese and New Orleans will all be participating.
 
Coming off of a great showing at the FasTrack Collegiate Invitational, Joey Croft will toe the line in the 1-mile run. His time of 4:14.81 was a new career best and helped him land Southland Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week.
 
On the women's side, Alanna Arvie will be competing in the weight throw and shot put, two events that she has dominated thus far in this season. She placed first in the weight throe last time out and placed fourth with a new personal best in the shot put with a mark of 20.09 meters.
 
After their meet on Friday, McNeese will then host their high school meet on Saturday. The event will have over 1,600 high school athletes participating and is open to the public.
