LAKE CHARLES—Coming off its second straight week with a 4-1 record including wins over Texas A&M, South Dakota State, UAB, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi last week, McNeese softball returns home for two games this week beginning with a 6 pm. game against South Alabama on Tuesday and a 6:30 p.m. game against UL-Monroe on Wednesday.
BCM will be in attendance Tuesday night to distribute free pizza to McNeese students.
The Cowgirls (8-2) will look to continue to improve in some areas of their game but so far, the pitching and defense have been consistent in the first two weeks of the season.
South Alabama (4-5) enters the game having won their last four games after opening the season with five straight losses.
The Jaguars lead the series 6-3 and have won three of the last four meetings. The last McNeese win over USA was a 7-1 win in Lake Charles on Feb. 28, 2017.
