SPRING, Texas – Michael Terblanche shot an even par 72 in Tuesday's final round of the Colin Montgomerie Invitational hosted by HBU as Louis Talarczyk was the top finisher for McNeese with a three round score of 221 (5-over par).
As a team, McNeese finished in 10th place with a total score of 898 after firing a 299 on Tuesday. That followed rounds of 300 and 299 on Monday.
Talarczyk finished tied for 26th on the individual leaderboard while Terblanche posted a 224 score (76-76-72) to finish in a tie for 39th. Greg Holmes was close behind with a 225 (75 on Tuesday) while Reid Giardina shot a 77 on Tuesday to finish with a 234, tied with Theo Berger who had an 80 on the day.
UT Rio Grande Valley won the team title with an 867 (292-285-290), rallying on the final day to edge out New Orleans and Midland Community College, both with an 869.
Midland's JT Pittman won the individual title with a 212 at 4-under par.
McNeese will be back on the links next Monday and Tuesday at ULL's Louisiana Classics.
