FRISCO, Texas – McNeese Cowboy sophomore golfer Jack Hearn has been named to the 2020-21 Men's Golf All-Conference team, picking up second team honors, the league office announced on Thursday.
 
It's the second time Hearn has earned all-conference honors, having earned third team accolades as a freshman in the 2018-19 season. The league did not select an all-conference team last season due to the cancellation of the slate because of the COVID virus.
 
This year, Hearn ranked fourth in the Southland Conference with a 73.25 strokes per round average in four tournaments played this spring.
 
On the season, Hearn placed sixth in two tournaments, the Bayou City Collegiate Classic and Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational. He opened the spring with a 25^th place finish at the Louisiana Classics and ended the season finishing 37^th at the SLC Championships.
 
In 12 rounds played, the Ireland native shot par or better in half of those rounds with four of those rounds in the 60s.
 
Sam Houston's Paul Chaplet and Will Holcomb shared the league's golfer of the year honor.
