COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Three weeks after placing second at the Cowboy Stampede, the McNeese Cowboys and Cowgirls cross country teams will return to action for the final tune-up before the Southland Conference Championships when they take part in the highly competitive Texas A&M Arturo Barrios Invitational
 
The men's 8K race will begin at 9 a.m. while the women's 6K event will follow at 9:45.
 
A total of 36 men's teams and 36 women's teams entered in the event that will be held at the Watts Cross Country Course.
 
COWBOY ENTRIES:
• Entered to run for the Cowboys will be Gideon Cheplak, Joey Croft, Omer El'Fadl, Aaron Gilliam, James Hyland, Jacob Kipkogei, Henry Kiplagat, Pavel Kraus, Elias Loriposa.
• Kipkogei is a two-time SLC Athlete of the Week for the Cowboys this fall
 
COWGIRL ENTRIES:
• Running for the Cowgirls will be Bonnie Andres, Irene Barrerio-Lopez, Danna Diaz, Ciara Gilroy, Priscilla Ibarra, Gladys Jemaiyo, Aurelia Jepkorir, Pamela Kosgei, Alissa Lander, Sorcha Moloney and Grace Sullivan.

USTFCCCA REGIONAL RANKINGS:
• The Cowboys will enter Saturday's race ranked No. 9 in the latest USTFCCCA South Central Rankings, up one spot from last week while the Cowgirls dropped a spot to No. 15.
• Other teams entered that are ranked in the regional rankings that will be competing include: Men – LSU (#3 South Central), Texas A&M (#4 South Central), North Texas (#5 South Central), Lamar (#8 South Central), McNeese (#9 South Central), Incarnate Word (#11 South Central), Texas A&M-CC (#12 South Central), Texas State (#13 South Central), Sam Houston (#15 South Central), Texas Tech (#14 Mountain), Middle Tennessee (#6 South), Louisville (#7 Southeast).
