Meet and Greet:  

McNeese softball would like to invite fans to its annual Meet and Greet this Thursday, Oct. 7 at Joe Miller Field at Cowgirl Diamond. Doors will open at 6:15 for tours of the softball facilities. The event will begin at 7 p.m. with food and beverages provided. Cowgirl fans will meet the 2022 team as well as get autographs. Those who attend the event will have an opportunity to purchase 2022 season tickets. Head coach James Landreneau will also make a special announcement with event attendees. 

In addition to the Meet and Greet, the Cowgirls will begin Fall workouts on Wed., Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. Practices are open to the public with intrasquad scrimmages scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. 

Throughout the Fall season, two players will be spotlighted on a weekly basis. We will begin the player spotlight with Josie Willingham and Kennedy Reynolds.  

Player Spotlights:  

Josie Willingham (Infield) #1 

Josie is a transfer from the University of Tennessee. She is a sophomore studying to become a physical therapist. She is an athletic infielder with above average hands and a plus arm. Josie has great instincts and will make an impact this season.

Kennedy Reynolds (First Base) #2 

Kennedy is a redshirt freshman from Spring, Texas. She was limited last season due to an injury but has made full recovery and is off to a great start this Fall. She is an Early Childhood Education major. Kennedy plays first base and has plus power at the plate.
