LAKE CHARLES—McNeese softball will continue its challenging 2021 schedule and will conclude its five-game home stand Thursday night with a 6:30 p.m. game against Texas A&M before returning to Southland Conference play at Sam Houston this weekend.

McNeese (10-14) is coming off a 5-2 home loss against No. 10 Texas Tuesday night that saw the Cowgirls let a 2-1 lead slip away by allowing four runs to the Longhorns in the seventh.

Outfielder
Cori McCrary continues to lead the Cowgirls at the plate with a .329 batting average, 25 hits, 15 RBI, six homeruns, eight doubles, and 17 runs scored. McCrary picked up two hits against the Longhorns including a double on Tuesday.

Haylee Brinlee has a team high 15 walks and outfielder
Toni Perrin leads the team with seven stolen bases.
