Nate Fisbeck ruined the shutout with a sixth-inning solo home run as the Cowboys fell 14-1 to the Tigers on Tuesday night.
McNeese (14-14) used nine pitchers in the game as starter
Christian Vega (0-3) was hit with the loss after he allowed one run on just one hit in three innings of action. His lone hit allowed was a RBI double by Giovanni DiGiacomo who knocked in Jordan Thompson after drawing a one-out walk in the second inning.
Leading 1-0 in the fourth, the Tigers (18-11) grew the lead to 6-0 following back-to-back RBI singles by Jordan Thompson and Cade Doughty, a RBI sac bunt by DiGiacomo and then a two-out, two run single by Dylan Crews.
LSU added two more runs in the fifth and another in the sixth off a solo homer by Hayden Travinski to make it 9-1. Five runs followed in the eighth to close out the scoring.
Five Cowboy batters scattered five hits while LSU punched 12 hits with Doughty collecting four of those.
Tigers' starter Garrett Edwards (1-2) picked up the win after he threw two scoreless innings while giving up two hits and striking out three.
McNeese will be back in action this weekend when it hosts Incarnate Word in a four-game Southland Conference series beginning on Friday.
