FRISCO, Texas – The Southland Conference will debut its Second Annual Virtual Awards Show Wednesday, June 9, at 5 p.m. CT on Facebook Live.
 
Host Madi Morris will interview McNeese's Julian Gonzalez and Grace McKenzie, winners of the prestigious McCarty Citizenship Awards, along with F.L. McDonald Postgraduate Scholarship beneficiaries Sierra Humphrey of Houston Baptist and Will Siler of Central Arkansas. Recipients of the APR Award and Southland Strong Institutional Award will also be recognized.
 
Commissioner Tom Burnett will open the 45-minute show by highlighting the various individual and team achievements of the past season, including the FCS National Championship for Sam Houston football. Stephen F. Austin won seven team championships to claim the Commissioner's Cup and Women's All-Sports Award, with Southeastern Louisiana claiming the Men's All-Sports Trophy. The show will wrap with a highlight reel from the Southland's 18 championships and postseason play.
