LAKE CHARLES – McNeese softball will be holding its third free clinic with the Lake Charles Softball Little League on Thursday, September 30th.
The McNeese players will act as mentors, teaching the first through sixth grade players the basics of the game as well as modeling what it means be a Cowgirl.
To the disappointment of players who have participated in past years, the 2020 clinic was one of the many events canceled due to Covid-19. Thursday will be an opportunity for the youngsters to be reunited with their favorite McNeese players as well as meet the new players who have joined the team within the past two years.
The clinic is only open to Softball Little League players who have been registered to play for the league this past year. Registration invitations were sent to eligible participants through the Softball Little League portal.
The Cowgirls will begin their first fall practice next Wednesday October 6 and will hold their annual Meet and Greet on Friday October 7.
