Kipkogei Named SLC Men's CC Athlete of the Week

FRISCO, Texas--  McNeese sophomore Jacob Kipkogei has been named the Southland Conference Cross Country Men's Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. It's the second weekly honor for Kipkogei this season as he also picked up the honor on Sept. 28
 
The native of Eldoret, Kenya recorded his second Top 10 finish of the season, placing fifth out of 59 runners at the Cowboy Stampede 4-mile race with a time of 19.32 and a 4.53-mile pace, helping the Cowboys to a second place finish.
