LAKE CHARLES— McNeese women's basketball, coming off its first Southland Conference win of the season against Incarnate Word last Saturday, will look to carry that momentum back to the Legacy Center when the Cowgirls begin a four-game home stand against Nicholls Thursday night. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
 
McNeese (6-10, 1-2 SLC) picked up double doubles from Kaili Chamberlin (15 pts., 10 reb.) and Divine Tanks (13 pts., 11 reb.) in the win over UIW. The Cowgirls have gotten balanced scoring in the last two games with at least three players scoring in double figures.
 
As a team, McNeese leads the SLC and ranks in the Top 40 in the nation in offensive rebounds, rebounds per game, scoring offense, three-point field goals attempted and made, and three-point field goal percent.
 
McNeese is averaging 41.4 rebounds per game and 16.0 offensive rebounds per contest. Tanks leads the Cowgirls with 7.4 rpg.
 
Chamberlin, who has scored in double figures in five of her last six game including three straight games, leads the team in scoring with 10.1 ppg. and is shooting 37.5 percent from behind the arc.
 
Guard Cristina Gil has given the Cowgirls an added offensive threat lately. Gil is averaging 15.7 ppg. in league play and has scored in double figures in two of the three conference games.
 
For Nicholls (3-11, 1-2 SLC), it will be the first of three straight road games who will look to snap a two-game losing streak following home losses to Northwestern State and Southeastern.
 
The Colonels have the league's leading scorer in Chelsea Cain who is averaging 16.9 ppg. overall and 23.0 ppg. in conference games.
