NEW ORLEANS - McNeese will attempt to steal a road win away from the Southland Conference's first place team on Saturday afternoon when the Cowboys visit New Orleans.
Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at UNO's Lakefront Arena and will follow a 2 p.m. matchup against the two women's teams.
The Cowboys (10-17, 4-6 SLC) currently sit a half-game behind HBU for fourth place in the league standings and are tied with Northwestern State for fifth. The No. 3 and 4 spots in the standings will earn one bye in the postseason tournament. UNO (15-9, 8-1) has a one-game lead over Nicholls for first place.
McNeese holds the tie-breaker over Northwestern State and has a win over HBU already. The Cowboys will visit HBU on March 5 to close out the regular season. Following Saturday's game at UNO, McNeese will return home next Thursday vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and Saturday vs. UIW to conclude its home slate.
