LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's tennis returns home Wednesday following a 12-day layoff to host Alcorn at the Nancy Hank Tennis Center. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
McNeese (5-1) is coming off its first loss of the season, a 4-0 loss to Wyoming on Feb. 10 in a match that was played in McComb, Mississippi.
Maria Wang Martinez leads the Cowgirls with five wins (5-1), seeing action at the No. 3-5 spots.
Ariane Monlleo Sanchis is 4-1 on the year playing her matches at the No. 4-6 spots. Martinez and Sanchis are 3-0 as the Cowgirls' No. 2 doubles team.
Alcorn (1-6) is coming off its first win of the season with a 4-3 victory over Prairie View.
