LAKE CHARLES – McNeese will close out its 12-game home stand on Tuesday night when it hosts Southern at 6 p.m. at Joe Miller Ballpark. The game will broadcast on ESPN Plus.
McNeese (16-8) is coming off a 2-1 Southland Conference series loss to Nicholls over the weekend while Southern (7-15) dropped two out of three at Texas Southern this past weekend.
Shortstop
Josh Leslie leads the team in hitting with a .330 average which also ranks him 11
th in the Southland Conference. He also leads the league with 35 RBIs and 13 doubles, ranking 18th and third respectively in the NCAA.
Southern outfielder Jaylen Armstrong tops the Jaguars in hitting with a .354 average.
McNeese defeated Southern 10-3 in Baton Rouge back on March 1.
Next up, the Cowboys will play a three-game conference series at Houston Christian.
