LAKE CHARLES – McNeese Cross Country has announced the dates for its annual Lake Charles Toyota Cowboy Stampede and Cowboy 2-Miler, with that running on Wednesday, September 13 and the Cowboy Stampede taking place on Sept. 23.
 
Both meets will run at the Enos Derbonne Multi-Sport Complex off Lake Street in Lake Charles.
 
The Cowboy 2-Miler will hold races for each the varsity girls and boys, junior varsity combined, and then a 1-mile race for each the middle school boys and girls. Races will begin at 4 p.m. with awards at 5:45.
 
Entry fee is $15 per individual or $75 per team. Varsity teams may consist of a maximum of seven runners.

The Cowboy Stampede will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the women's college 5k followed by the men's college 4-mile run (9 a.m.), varsity girls 5k (9:45 a.m.), varsity boys 5k (10:15 a.m.), JV girls 2-mile (10:45 a.m.), JV boys 2-mile (11:05 a.m.), MS girls 2-mile (11:25 a.m.), and MS boys 2-mile (11:45 a.m.). Awards will cap off the day at 12:15.
 
Entries are due by 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19 via Direct Athletics.
