Bryan King is the most recent former Cowboy to rise of the professional ranks to The Show with the Houston Astros. King was picked up by the Chicago Cubs in the 30th round of the 2019 MLB draft before making his was to the Sugar Land Space Cowboys in 2024 where he earned his shot with a 1.87 ERA through 31 appearances for a 1-0 record on the mound.

King made his major-league debut with the Astros on June 23 against the Baltimore Orioles, throwing an inning of work without allowing a hit. Since then, he's made 11 more appearances for an ERA of 3.18 over 11.1 innings pitched, currently owning a 1-0 record.

Grant Anderson has played with the Texas Rangers periodically throughout the 2024 campaign, one season removed of being a part of their 2023 World Series club. The right-handed pitcher was taken in the 2018 MLB Draft and made his debut with the Rangers during the 2023 season.

Anderson has appeared in 17 games this season while adding a hold to his career total of six. He pitched 19 innings of work and has struck out 20 batters. Anderson is currently pitching with the Round Rock Express.

McNeese currently has four former Cowboys playing at the Triple A level with three at Double A, and one at Single A.

Of the nine players within the independent leagues and MLB Draft League, eight have been on the two most recent Pokes squads, three from 2024.

Four current Pokes concluded the 2024 summer league season between three teams, two with the first-year Gumbeaux Gators.
